AUTHORIZING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ACCUISITION OF A RECREATION
CAMP.
WHEREAS, our attention has been called to the fact that the City of
Alameda may acquire from the National Government a site for a recreation camp in
the Sierra Nevada Mountains near the camps now owned and operated by Berkeley and
Oakland; no therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and
empowered, for and in the name of the City of Alameda, to take such preliminary
steps as may be necessary for the acquisition and construction of a Recreation
Camp in the Stanislaus National Forest, and more particularly lying in portions
of Sections 22 and 23, Township 1 South, Range 16 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian, with authority to expend such funds as may be required for preliminary
surveys and obtaining the necessary rights for such use of said site.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Aiereda
in adjourned regular meeting assembled on the 9th day of Jane, 1936, by the follow-
ing vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Broyles, Munro and President Roebke, (3).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Esuhen and Morris, (2).
