AUTHORIZING AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY ATTORNEY AND HIS
ASSISTANT TO LEFEND CASE NO. 1,40,177, ENTITLED NOR1JAN
C. BATES, ET AL., V. SHERMAN G. BLOOD
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that the City
Attorney and his assistant, Mr. Frank W. Creely, be, and they are hereby,
authorized and instructed to take the necessary steps and proceedings for
defending Case No. 140,177, entitled Norman C. Bates, et al. v. Sherrnn
G. Elood, and designed to secure an alternative write of mandate.
I, the undersiEned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th day of June, 1936, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Broyles, Munro and President Roebke, (3).
NOES: Councilmen Eschen and Morris, (2).
ABSENT: None.
