CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALANEDA
FOR EXTENSION OF FRANKLIN TARN.
WHEREAS the following described real property, situated in the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California:
BEGINNING at a point on the Southwestern
line of San Antonio Avenue distant thereon North-
westerly Cne Hundred and Thirty feet from the point
of intersection thereof with the Northwestern line
of Peru Street, as said Avenue and Street are shown
on the Map hereinafter referred to; and running
thence Westerly along said line of San Antonio Avenue
Fifty feet; thence at right angles Southwesterly One
Hundred and Fifty feet; thence at right angles
Southeasterly Fifty feet; and thence at right angles
Northeasterly One Hundred and Fifty feet to the point
of beginning.
BEING Lot Numbered 7 and the Southwestern
Five feet of Lot Numbered 8, in Block Lettered "J",
as said Lots and Block are delineated and so designated
upon that certain Yap entitled, "Map of Oak *Park,
Eneinal of Alameda, Alameda County, California"
filed October 28. 1876, in Liber 1 of Maps, at page
103 in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda
County,
has been assessed for city purposes for the fisoal year 1936-1937, in the total sum of
$50.56 to Bianca 5. Royee, as evidenced by tax bill No. 5958, and
WHEREAS after the time said assessment and taxes became liens thereon,
said real property was, by deed recorded in the office of the County Recorder cf Alameda
County on September 19, 1936, acquired and owned, and ever since has been, and now is,
owned by, the City of Alameda, a municipal corporation, and because of such publie
ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes, and
WHEREAS it was agreed by and between the City of Alameda and said Bianca C.
Royce that the city should assume all taxes assessed against said real property for
the fiscal year 1936-1939 ao part of the consideration for the conveyance of said
real property.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY ILT ccuNcaL CF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, with the
written consent of the City- Attorney attached hereto, tbat the first and second install-
mento cf city taxes for the fiscal year 1936-1037, charged or levied for city purposes
upon the aforesaid real property, in the 311M of 450.5e, be, and the same are, hereby
csneelled, and the Auditor and Tax Collector respectively cf the City of Alameda are
hereby authorized and directed to cancel the same on their respective books.
