CANCELLING CITY 52L5 ON PROPERTY ACOLIRED
BY THE ALAMEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR
SCHOOL PURPOSES.
WHEREAS the following described real property situated in the City of Alameda,
County of Alameda, State cf California, to—wit:
Commencing at a point on the easterly line
of at. Charles :Street 225 feet southerly from the
southern line of Railroad. Avenue; running thence
southerly along sai d. line of St. Charles Street, 50
feet; thence easterly and parallel -with Poilroad
Avenue 155.50 feet; thence northerly 50 feet more
or less to the southeastern corner of of 75, as
sbomm on the man hereinafter referred to; running
thence westerly and parallel with Railroad Avenue,
154.47. feet, to tie point of Commencement.
Being Lot 76, as same is delineated and so
designated on that certain map entitled 'Map of Encinal
Park Tract, Alameda Subdivision, May 18, 1879" and recorded
in Liber 185 of Deeds, at rave 160, in. the office of the
County Recorder of Alameda County,
has been assessed for city purposes for the fiscal year 1937-38, to Caroline Mason, in
the total sum. of 00.96, as evidenced by tax bill 50, 6925, and
WIFIRICAS after the tine said assessment and taxes became liens thereon, said
real property was, by deed recorded July G, 1937, in Diber 3428, page 521, records. of
Alameda Conhy, acquired and ever since has been, and non is, owned by the Alameda
Unified School District, and because of such public ownership is rot subject to sale
for delinquent taxes, and
WHEREAS it was agreed by said Alameda Unifled School District and said
Caroline Mason that said. School District should assume all taxes assessed against said
real property for the fiscal year, 1937-50,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED DY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AIMMEDA, with
the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that the first and second
installments of city taxes for the fiscal year 1937-30, charged or levied for city
purposes upon the aforesaid. real property, in the sum of 00.96, be, and the same are
hereby cancelled, and the Auditor and Tax Cellecter respectively of the City of Alameda
are hereby petherized directed to cancel the sate oh their respective books.
1, the undetsigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City cf Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 4th day of January, 1930, . by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (4).
NOES: None.
ABBENT: Councilman Carrington, (1).
