WHEREAS the Committee heretofore appointed by this Council pursuant to Resolution No. 2210 has recommended the employment of Lester S. Ready, Consulting Engineer, for the purpose of making a survey and report on the matters specified in said resolution, and WHEREAS said Lester S. Ready, in a letter dated January 13, 1938, addressed to the Mayor and Council of the City of Alameda, has outlined the scope and extent of the survey and report to be made pursuant to said resolution, and has offered to per- form the services required in connection therewith on a perdiem basis, with a limitation of a maximum charge Lot to exceed the sum of 2000, . NOR' THIPREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED BY TIE3 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that Lester S. Ready be and he is hereby employed by the City of Alameda for the purpose of making a survey and report to the Council, said survey and report to be confined in its scope and extent to the matters specified in said letter. RESOLVED FURTHER that the remineration to be pald to said Lester S. Ready for the performance of said services shall be on a per diem basis, as specified in said letter, but shall not in any event exceed the total sun cf 2000. Payment for said services shall be made on completion and presentation of said survey and report. the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution vas duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of January,1938, by the following vote, to it AYES: Councilmen Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (3).
