RESOLUTION OF INTENTION' TO CLOSE IELT PORTION OF WILLOW
TL FROM THE NORTHERLY LINE OF CLEMENT AVENUE TO THE
NORTHERLY TERMINATION OF SAID WILLOW STREET, AND THAT
PORTION OF ATLANTIC AVEITUE FROM' THE WESTERLY LINE OF
WILLOW STREET TO TEE EASTERLY LINE OF STANFORD STREET
PRODUCED NORTHERLY, IN THE CITY or ALAMEDA.
RESOLVED BY 110 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Li 1D that public interest and con-
venience require, and said Council hereby declares its intention to order, the closing up
of those Portions of the following named streets in the City or Alameda, County of Alameda,
5tate of California, described as follows
(a)
Willow Street, from the northerly line of Clement Avenue to the
northerly- termination of said Willow Street;
(b) Atlantic (formerly Blanding) Avenue, from the westerly line of
Willow Street to the easterly line of 5anford Street, produced
northerly.
RESOLVED FURTHER that no land is deemed necessary to he taken, or will be taken,
for the work and improvement of closing said streets, and that the exterior boundaries of
the district of lands to be affected or benefitted 0, said work Of improvement, and to be
assessed to way the damages, costs and expenses thereof, are the cerporate boundaries of
the City of Lameda; that no lands will be assessed to pay Inc damages, costs and expenses
of said. improvement.
The Street Superintendent of the City of Alameda shall cause notices of the
passage at this resolution to be conspicuously posted along the lines cf said contemplated
work and improvement and in the time, form and manner rewired by law. He shall also
cause e notice, similar in substance, to be published for a period of ten days lia the
Alameda Times-Star, a daily newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in
salt City, and hereby designated by the said City Council as the newspaper in which said
notice shall be published.
Any person interested objecting to said work or improvement, or to the extent of
Inc district of lands to be affected or benefitted by said work Of improvement, and to be
assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, may make written objections to the same
within ten days after the expiration of the time of the publication of said notice, and
deliver said objections to the clerk of the City Council as required by law.

of streets aforementioned, shall be done under and in pursu5n5e of an act of the. Legisla-
ture entitled, "An act to provide for laying out, opening, extending, widening, straighten-
ing or closing up in Whole or in part any street, square, lane, alley, court or place
within municipalities, and to condemn and acquire any and all land and pro-berty necessary
or convenient for that purpose," approved March 6, 10E9, (State. 1100, p. 70) and
amendments thereto.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted by the Council. cf the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 1.5th day of Larch, 1936, by the following vote, to-it;
AYIS: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey; Maurer, Yorris and President
Weichhart, (5).
