RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CHANGE ZONE ON COUNCIL'S OWN
MOTION
RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda, that it is the intention
of said Council, on its own motion, and without a netition therefor, to initiate
proceedings for changing and reclassifying the real property in the city of Alameda
hereinafter described as follows:
(a) The real property described in Ordinance No. 472, New Series, passed by
said Council on April 7, 1931, which description is hereby referred to and incor-
porated herein, but saving and excepting the parcel next herein described, from an
industrial District, Class VII, to a Residential District, Class
(b) The real property described as follows: Beginning at the point of inter-
section of the northerly line of Fernside Boulevard with the easterly line of Ver-
sailles Avenue, running ttence easterly along said line of Fernside Boulevard 212
feet, more or less; thence northerly 102 feet; thence westerly 120 feet; thence
northerly 101 feet; thence westerly 79 feet to the easterly line of Versailles Avenue;
thence along said line of Versailles Avenue southerly 203 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning, from an Industrial District, Class VII, to a Business Diatrict,
Class III;
(c) The real property lying east of the parcel described in said Ordinance No,
472, New Series, north of Fernside Boulevard, west of High Street and south of the
U. S. Tidal Canal, saving and excepting the parcel next herein described from a
Residential District, Class I, to a Residential District, Class
(d) The real property described as follows: Beginning at the point of inter-
section of the northerly line of Fernside Boulevard with the westerly line of High
Street, thence westerly along said line of Fernside Boulevard 115 feet, more or less;
thence northerly 168:feet; thence easterly 123 feet, more or less, to the westerly
line of High Street; thence southerly along said line of High Street 135 feet to
the point of beginning, from a Residential District, Class I, to a Business District,
Class III.
The City Clerk is directed to post notices of hearing thereon before the City
Planning Board, as required by Ordinance No. 370, New Series, as amended.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of Xune,1938, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart,(4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Morris, (1).
