DESIGNATING CERTAIN LANDS DEDICATED FOR HIGHWAY PURPOSDS
AS "MAIN STREET".
RESOLVED SY THI COUNCIL OF ThI CITY OF ALAMMA that the parcels of land
heretofore dedicated as a public highway situated in the City cf Alameda, County
of Alameda; State of California, and more particularly described RS follows:
PARCEL NO. 1.
COMMENCING AT a point which point is Station 178 on
the Peralta Grant Line as said Station and Line are delineated
and so designated on that certain. nap entitled "Map of Alameda
Marsh Lands as partitioned among the owners in the suit numbered
8923 and entitled /Pacific Improvement Company, Plaintiff, vs.
James A. Waymire, et al, Defendants', Superior Court of Alameda
County, State of California" and filed. July 50, 1900, in the office
of the County Recorder of Alameda County in Yap Book 25, Pages 74
to 78, running thence North 28* 49' West 2.56 feet to a point,
which ncint is the point or beginning of a curve to the left hav-
ing a radius of 780 feet; thence Nontherly along the are of said
curve 779.15 feet to a point; thence North 86* 05' West 1576.51
feet to a point, said point being the point of beginning of a
curve to the right having a radius of 4448.08 feet; thence North-
westerly along the arc of said curve 938.07 feet to a point;
thence North 73* 58' West 1450 feet to a point; thence South 16
02' West 80 feet, more or less, to a point, said point being the
Northwest corner of a parcel of land designated as Parcel No. 1,
in deed from the City of Alameda to the United States cf America,
recorded in Book 2838 of Official Records, Page 216, in the County
Recorder's Office of Alameda County, California; thence Smith 73*
58' 'East 1450 feet to a point, said point being the paint of be-
ginning of a curve to the left having a radius of 4528.08 feet;
thence Southerly along the arc of said curve 954.94 feet to a
point; thence South 86* 03' East 1576.51 feet to a point, said
point being the point of beginning of a curve to the right hav-
ing a radius of 4448.08 feet; thence Northwesterly along the arc
of said curve 938.07 feet to a point; thence North 73* 58' West
1450 feet to a poirt; thence South 16* 02' West 80 feet, more or
less, to a point, said point being the Northwest corner cf a.
parcel of land designated as Parcel No. 1, in deed from the City
of Alameda to the United States of Amenica, recorded in Book
2858 of Official Records, Page 216, in the County Recorder's
Office cf Alameda County, California; thence South 73* 58' East
1450 feet to a point, said point being the point of beginnin
of a curve to the left having R radius of 4529.08 feet; thence
Southerly along the are of said curve 954.24 feet to a point;
thence South 86* 05' East 1575.51 feet to a point, said point
being the point of beginning cf a curve to the right, having s
radisu of 700 feet; thence Southerly along the aro of said curve
699.24 feet to a point; thence South 28* 49' East 9.52 feet tc a
point, said point being on the Peraita Grant Line; thence along
the last named Line North 56* 001 East 80.32 feet to the point
of beginning;

COMkaNCING at a point which point is North 0* 34' West
195.21 feet from a point on the Segregation Line, which point
is the intersection of the Segregation Line and the West Line of
Main Street, as such Segregation Line and street are delineated.

Marsh Lands as partitioned among the owners thereof in the Suit
numbered 8923 and entitled 'Paeific Improvement Company, Plain-
tiff, VS, James A. Waymire, et al, Defendants/7 Superior Court
of Alameda County, State of California" and filed Jelly 307 1.900,
in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County in hap
nook 25, Pages 74 to 78; running thence North 0* 34/ West 2417.48
feet to a point; then North 28* 49' West 859.94 feet to a point,
said point being Station ,if,179 on the Peralta Grunt Line, as said
station and line are delineated and no designated on said map:
thence along last named Line South 56* 00' West 90.52 feet to
point; thence South, 28* 49' East 570.97 feet to a point, which .
point is the point of beginning of a curve to the right having a.
radius of 960 fset; thence Southerly along the are cf said curve
45,55 feet to 2 point; thane:3 Couth 0.* 34' Eaat 2164.08 feet,
more or less, to a point on the Northerly boundary lino of lands
described as "Parcel. 14o.2" in that certain deed from The Regents
of the University of California, a corporation, to Alameda Belt
Line, a corporation, recorded in the office of said County Re-
corder in Liber 2375 of Official Records, Page 25; thence along
said last named line North 95* 29' 50" East 80.45 feet to the
point cf beginning;
PARCEL NO. 3
TI' at the Southeast corner of Tract 45, being
the point of intersection of the Westerly line of Main Street
ond the line segregating the high and dry land from the Marsh
Land, as said tract, street and segregation line are.dolineated
and an designated on that certain map entitled "Yap of Alameda
Marsh Lands as partitioned among the owners in. the suit numbered
6923 and entitled. !Pacific Improvement Company, Plaintiff, vs,
James A. Waymire, et al, Defendants!, Superior Court of Alameda
County, State of California" and filed July 30, 1900, in the
office of the County Recorder of Alameda County in Map Bock 25,
Paces 74 to 78; running thence along the Easterly line of said
Tract 45 North 0* 341 West, 143.93 feet to a point on the
Southern boundary line of lands described as "Parcel No. 2" in
that certain deed from Alameda Belt Line, a corporation, to the
City of Alameda, recorded in the office of the County Recorder
cf Alameda County in Bock 2485 of Official Records, Page 103;
thence along said last named line South 83* 297 50" West 80.43
feet; thence South 0* 347 East 128.61 feet to a pint on said
Segregation Line; thence along said Segregation Line South 85*
341 East 80.31 feet to the point of beginning,
he, and the same are hereby, designated and shall. hereafter be known no "Main
Street".
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of February, 1940, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President
Weichhart, (5).
NO&S: None.
ABSENT: None.
