CONTRACT°
WHEREAS, pursuant to the tense of that certain "Supplemental Agreament",
dated January 24, 1240, made by and. between the County of Alamada and the City of
lameda, the City of Alameda and. said County hErve engaged in the joint oboration
of rui•vale Avenue Bride; and
WEINEAS, it is necessary and in the public interest that the period of
time for the joint operation of said bridge be extended to June 1, 1240; and.
WHEREAS, a. form of contract entitled "Third Supple:mental Agreemant"
and. provng for the extension of the period of the joint operation of said
bridge to June 1, 1940 has been presented and submitted to this Council, a copy
of which Third. Supplerantal Agreement is hereto attached and made a part hereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, EN IT RES4..UE1313 BY THE CUUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 5:1. 44..
that the period. for the joint operation by' the County of Alameda and the Caty of
Alameda of the said Empitvale Avenue Bridge be, and the same is hereby, extended
to June 1, 1240, said joint operation. to be carried out in accordance with and
subject to all thw terms and, conditions contained. in said Sugiblemental Agreement;
and brio Mayor of the City of Alameda is hemeby authorized on d. directed to execute
and the City Clerk tw attest, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, an agree-
ment substantial1y in the form of the aforesaid Third Sunplementul 13 .3001300

be newessary, be, and is hereby, appropriated from the General Fund of the 1313
of Alampda, StIget Account 704. , to pay for the City of Alamedole share of the
cost of operation of said Bruitvale Avenue Bridge, as rrevidad. in. said agreements.
