CANCELLING WARRANTS OF THE crvy OF ALA-laDA.
WHEREAS, the following warrants have been issued by the City of Alameda:

WHEREAS, the payees listed above, with the exception of M. A. Gibson who
is reported to have left the United. States, have been interviewed and have stated
that said warrants were received and cashed, the accounts being thereby closed; and
WHEREAS, the Auditor of the City of Alameda reports that none of said
warrants have been presented to the City for payment and recommends cancellation
thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 'EY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that the warrants listed above be, and they are hereby, cancelled, effective May
8, 1940, and that the Auditor be, and. he is hereby, directed to refuse payment
thereof, and that out of the total. amount of said warrants $35.12 be returned to
the General Fund and the remaining 70t to the Library Fund.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 8th day of May, 1940, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (4).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman Carrington, (1).
