ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS FOR FURNISHING. PORTLAND CEMENT
TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE THE SAME.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL () THE CITY: OF ALAMEDA that the Specifications
and Provisions for furnishing Portland Cement to the City of Alameda, No, MS 5-403,
filed in the office of the City Clerk en May 8, 1940, be, and the same are hereby,
approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 805 o'clock P. M. on Tuesday, May 21, 1940, for
the furnishing to the City. of Portland Cement, in accordance with said Specifica-
tions and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall,
Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Pro-
posal for Portland Cement".
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of the
charter of said City, tc the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best
bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-
Star, a notice calling for sealed. bids in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 8th day of May, 1940, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen. Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (4).
NOES: Nona,
ABSENT: Councilman Carrington, (1).
