RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER 012 VACATION OF PORTIONS
OF ATLANTIC AVENUE AND PORTIONB OF STANFORD STREET :3 THE
CITY OF' ALAMEDA_
RESOLVED BY THE ccurcIL OF 0)17 CITY OF ALAMEDA that public interest
requires, and said Council hereby declares its intention to order, the vacation,
C105ing and abandonment of those certain. portions of the following named streets
in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, described as
follows:
(a) All that portion of Stanford Street, also known as
Standford Street, from the northerly line of Clement
Avenue to the southerly line of Atlantic Avenue;
(b) All that portion of Atlantic Avenue, sometimes known
as Blanding Avenue, from the easterly line of Stanford
Street, produced northerly, to a line drawn parallel
to said easterly line of Stanford Street and distant
westerly therefrom, measured at right angles, 152."

Doing portions of Atlantic Avenue and of Standfora
Street as said avenue and street are delineated and
so designated upon that certain map entitled:
"Resubdivision of Blocks 1, 2 & 3 Lands Adjacent to
the Town of Encinal, Alameda Township, Alameda" filed
November 20, 1890, in Book 8 of Maps, at Page 47.
RESOLVED, FUTMIHR, that the portions of said streets to be vacated and
abandoned and the details of said vacation are more particularly shown uson a
map bearing the legend: "Proposed Vacation of Portions of Stanford St. and cf
Atlantic Ave.", which map is hereby approved for the purpose of this proceeding
and is hereby ordered filed in the office of the City Clerk of the city of
Alameda and marked "Filed October 21, 1541", and which man is hereby referred
to for particulars as to the proposed vacation.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the 6th day of NOVEMBER, 1941, AT 5 O'CMOCR
P. N., of said day, in the COUTICIL CniAMBERS in the CITY HALL, at the northwest
corner of Santa Clara Avenue and Oak Street, Alameda, California, be, and the
same is hereby, fixed as the time and place for heaxing by the Council of said
City of all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is
hereby directed to cause this resolution to be published, in the manner pres-
cribed by law for the publibhing of ordinances of the City of Alameda, in the
Alameda Times-Star, a daily newspaper of general circulation published and
circulated in said City and the official newspaper thereof.
RESOLVED, TERMER, that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is
tereby directed to cost, or cause to be posted, conspicuously along the line
of the streets proposed to be vacated, notices of such vacation, to the form
and manner required by the legislative act hereinafter mentioubd.
RESOLVED, EITHIMR, that in the herein proposed vacation of said
treets, or parts of streets, aforementioned, the Council of the City of Alameda
hereby elects to proceed under not in pursuance of the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941 of the 3tate of California (Chapter 250, Statutes of 1941).

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 201: day of October, 1941, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Branscheid, Manrer and Vice President Godfrey, (3).

ABSENTp Councilman Howe aad President Weichhart, (2).
