011(1:913, the 1,33 of the City of Alameda dad, on the 21st of October,
1941, pass its Resolution. of Iptentimn, No. 2676, declaring its intention to order
the vacation, closing and abandonment of those certain portions of the. following
named streets in the City of Alamode, Coumty of Alameda, State of. California, more
particularly described in. said Resolution of Intention ab follows:
that portion of Stanford Street, also known. as
Standford Street, from the northerly line of Clement
37 enue. to the southerly lane of Atlantic Avenue;
(b) All that tertian of Atlantic Avenue, sometimes known
at Blending Avenue, from the easterly line of Stanford.
Street, produced northerly, to a line dram; parallel
to said easterly line of Stanford. Street and distant
westerly' therefrom, measu3 ed. at right wayjNeJ, 152.5 feet;
Being nortions of AtAbectic Avenue and of Standford
Street as said avenue and_ street are dedineated and
so designated upon that certain map entitled: "Bosun-
divitach. of Blocks 1, 2 11 3 LandE Adjacent to the Town
of Ercinal, Alameda Township Alameda" filed Nevember
20, 1890, in. Book 8 of Labs, at Page 47;
and.
WEEREAS, the portions of said streets to be vntated and. abandoned. and.
the details of said vacaeion are more particularly' shown upon. bearing the
logent: "Proposed Vacation. of Portions of Stanford. St and of Atlantic
which map was by said Resolution. ef Intention approved for the purpose of this
proceeding and 31 3+3'33 filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Alameda. and marked: EFaind October 21, 1961", and which. map was in said reso-
lution referred to for further particulars. as to the proposed vacation; and.
WHERMAE, the City Clerk of the City of Alemeda caused said Resolution.
of Intention. to be published, in the mentor prat:intim:a. by law for the publishing
of ordinances of the City of Alameda, in the Alameda +13 a daily news
paper of general circulation published and circulau en. ib said city and. the offi-
cial newspaper thereof; and
WHEREAE, the City Clerk of the City of Alameda. causen to be posted
conspicuously along the line of each of the streets and parts thereof proposed
to be vacated, netices of sumh vacation, in the form ant manner renpimen. by. the
Street Vacation Act of 1961 of the State of California (Chapter 2b0, Statutes
of 191.1); and
VHEETEAS, proof of sain publication is evidenced by ab. affidavit of
publication now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city; and
WHERFAXI, proof of said posting of such notices is evidenced by the
affidavit of the person. posting said natices, which affidavit sets fartt the
facts regarding such costing an33 . is now on. file in the office of thm City Clerk
of said City; and
WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution. of Intention the Council. of the City
of Alameda fixed the 6th day of November, 1911, at 5 o'clock, P. IN, of said. day,
n. the Council Chambers in the City. Hell, at the northwest corner of Santa Clara
Avenue and Oak Street, Alameda, California, as the timm and place for hearing by
the Council of said City of all persons interested. in or objecting to the pro-
posed vacation; and
WHEREES, the matter of said proposed vacation came on regularly far
hearing before the Council. of the City 133 Alameda, at this its adjourned regular
meeting, on the 6th day of November, 1961, and at the time and. place fixod. in
said Resolution of intention, and. at such hearing the said Council heard the
evidence offered by all persons interested in said street vacation, end a full
hearing thereon having been he1 . and the matter submitte1 . for determination:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLFED BY TEN COUNCIL OF 7HE CITE OF ALAMEDA
that said Council hereby finds and determines, from all the evidence submitted,
that each of the streets and. parts thereof, in said Resolution of Intention and
hereinbefore more earticulerly describet, is and are unnecessary for present an1 .
prospective public street purposes and that public interest requires the vacation
of said portions of said streets.
BE IT FURTHER RIECIVED that the 33 0' Atlantic Avenum and of
Stanford. Street, also known as Standford Street, in said Resolution of intention
and. hereinhefore more partichlarpy described, be, and the same are hereby, vecated.
