WHEREAS, 1! City of Alameda is the ownem of two railroad. ..I 53
situated on eine lands owned by the city and running from the Alameda Mole
to the Peralta Grant Line; and
WHEREAS, the sonthErly railroad track is no longer needed.. or useful
for the purposes of the city; and
WHEREAS, the Navy 0'1 "'5'1 of the United States has offered to
purchase a portion of said track for use in thw construntion of facies at
thn Alamada Naval Air Station. and. The Dannanson-Earrolson Co. has liknwise
offered. to purchase a. 31 ('1 of said track;
HOW, THERESCRE, BE IT' NEGOLWED BY THE COUNCIL OF MEE CITY aT ALAMEDA
that the city sell appr(ximhtely 5000 track feet of seiE. truck at a price of
not less than Twenty-eight Dollars ff.2E400) per ton. net to the city for rails
fish. plates and splice hams.
Thn Clty Manager is hereby authorized to perform all the ants neces-
sary to carry out all the intents amd purposes of this resolution.
