AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA TO
MAKE APPLICATION TO FEDERAL WORKS AGENCY FOR CONTRIBU-
TION FOR PROVIDING COMMUNITY SERVICES IN THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA as follows:
That. Don. C. McMillan, City Manager of the City Df Alameda, be,
and he is hereby, authorized and directed to make application to the Federal
Works Agency or other appropriate Federal Agency for Federal aid to help
maintain an adequate recreational program for service mon and persons en-
gaged in National Defense.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced. and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of May, 1944, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Branscheid, Howe, Ienes, Osborn and President
aedfrey, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: one.
