Resolution 03148RESOLUTION NO. 3148 AUTHORIZING FILING AN APPLICATION WITH STATE RAILROAD COMMISSION FOR PERMISSION TO CONSTRUCT GRADE CROSSING OVER AND ACROSS TRACKS OF ALAMEDA BELT LINE RAILROAD AT THIRD STREET AND ATLANTIC AVENUE.' WHEREAS, it is in the public interest and there is an urgent need for the extension of Third Street into Atlantic Avenue for the purpose of affording the City Fire Department direct and easy access to the United States Naval Housing Project; and WHEREAS, such extension of Third Street to Atlantic Avenue will necessitate the construction of a crossing at grade over the tracks of the Alameda Belt Line Railroad; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OA A1AMEEA that the Mayor and the City Attorney be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to file with the Railroad Commission of the State of California the application of the City of Alameda for permission to construct such grade crossing over the tracks of the Alameda Belt Line Railroad at Third Street and Atlantic Avenue. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of June, 1945, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Howe, Tones, Osborn, Sweeney and President Branschaid, (5).
