ESTABLISHING CERTAIN POSITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT IN THE CITY
OF AIAMEDA AND FIXING "..71iE SALARIES AND RATES OF COMPENSA-
TION FOR SUCH POSITIONS ANE FOR ALL CELARTER OFFICES AND

POSITIONS UNDER TUT JURISDICTION OF sAin CITY.
RESOLVED BY TUE COUNCIL OF TES CITY OF ALAMEDA as follows:
The offices and positions uf employment hereinafter set forth are hereby
established in the several departments of the City of Alameda, in addition to the
offices anC positions heretofore created by the Charter, Ordinances or Resolutions
of said City, and salaries and rates cf compensation for all such offices and posi-
tions, wftetner hereby or heretofore by Charter, Ordinance or Resolution established,
are hereby fixed in the amounts set forth opposite each designated office or posi-
tion. Resolution No. 3081 and Resolution No. 5111 are hereby expressly referred to
and by reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof. Unless otherwise in-
dicated, all salaries and rates of compensation are on a calendar month basis.
Such offices and positions of employment and. such salaries and rates of
compensation are as follows:

Fire Department
Excepting the Fire Chief and Fire Prevention inspector, a normal work
week for emp]oyees in the Fire Department shall be 72 hours per week. Ex-
cepting the Fire Chief and Fire Prevention Inspector, employees in said Fire
Department shall be paid for work over 72 hours and up to 84 hours per week et
the straight time rate as hereinafter specified:

A11 salaries and compensations, as fixed by this Resolution, shall be
payable, in arrears, on the 3th and on the 20th day of each calendar month; pro-
vided that when any such day falls on a legal holiday payment stall be made on
the next preceding business day.
the salaries and rates of compensation as fixed by this Resolution
shall be effective as of and after July 1, 1945.
BE 1T FURTFER RESOLVED that those portions of Resolution No. 5009, and
alI, otter resolutions or parts thereof, in conflict herewith, are to the extent
of such conflict hereby rescinded and annulled.
