RESOLUTION NO. 3218
CREATING THE POSITION OF PAINTER IN THE CITY HALL
DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, PRESCRIBING TEE.
DUTIES AND FIXING THE SALARY THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA as follows:
Section 1. The position of "Painter" is hereby created and established
in the City Hall Department of the City of Alameda.
Section 2. The duties of the position of Painter, and of the person
holding such position, shall be as follows:
To scrape, spray and sand surfaces in preparation for painting, var-
nishing, enameling and finishing by brush or spray machine; to perform a wide
variety of skilled tasks in connection with application of paints, and other
covering materials, and to do related work as assigned or directed.
Section 3. The salary for the position of Painter be, and is hereby,
fixed at $190.00 per month on the basis of a forty-hour work week, and the
straight time hourly rate is hereby fixed at $1.096; that the hourly rate for
over forty (40) hours work per week is hereby fixed at $1.644.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 16th day of September, 1945, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Howe, Tones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branscheid, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT; None.
