AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO STATE
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ALISEDA
FOR STATE ASSISTANCE IN DEFRAYING COST OF PLANS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS IN ERUSI PARK. (PROJECT
NT. 47-9).
WHEREAS, the State of California, under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944
(4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of
Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as
counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed
One-half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or architec-
tural designs, and working end detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter
called "Plans") required for postwar public works projects described as esnecific
projects', in said Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda desires to apply to the Director of Finance
and/or the Post War Public Works Review Hoard, as the case may be, for an allot-
ment of the State's share of the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans
hereinafter mentioned and there has been prepared and presented to this Legisla-
tive Body for consideration an application for such purpose; and
WHEREAS, said City has provided, or will make available upon approval
of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans
herein mentioned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said City submit the aforesaid
application to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Review
Board, as the case may be, requesting allotment of Nineteen Hundred Forty ($1940.)
Tellers, being not more than one-half the cost of preparing said completed plans,
or for such amount as may he approved by the Director of Finance and/or the Post
War Public Works Review Board, (said allotment to be used for the purpose of de-
fraying the cost of preparing said completed plans required) for a specific project
to be undertaken by said City and described as Project No. 47-9 -- Construction of
Improvements Krusi Park;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost ef preparing such plans
is Thirty-eight Hundred Eighty ($3880.) Dollars, and that said City has made pro-
vision for paying one-half or more of the cost of preparing such plans;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this application, Don
C. McMillan, City Manager of the City of Alameda, be, and he hereby le, designated
as the authorized agent of said City and is hereby authorized and directed to sign
the above mentioned application on behalf of said City and submit the same to the
Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public. Works Review Board together with e
certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing such plans and such other
information as may be required; and said authorized agent is further authorized
and directed, as the representative of said City, to conduct all negotiations and
conclude all arrangements, including submission to the Director of Finance of ap-
plications for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure reimbursement for
the State's share of the expenditure made in preparing said completed plans.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd day of October, 1945, by the following
