AWARDING CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF STORM WATER PUMPING
PLANT AT FOOT OF GRAND STREET TO CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. CON-
STRUCTION' COMPANY AND PRESCRIBING. RANNER CF PATEPTET.
VIITCP.RATS, on October 16, 1945, tile Central Oalifornia Construction Company
filed a bid ckliin the City Clerk proposing to install a storm vrater pumpina; plant at
the foot of Grand_ Street, ,pursuant to Specifications, Special Frovisiond and Flans
No. PW 10-45-5; and
WMEREAS, in coariection wi tit said bid the bidder au-emitted a letter read-
ing as follows: !trill-a to the fact that Inc electrically operated -valve cannot 1
delivered for several months, we will expect payment when the plant is in operation
Wi th the hand operated valve, 'less the cast of Inc electrice.,1 equipment for same.
Will install the electrical equipment as soon as it arrives:" and
WITREAS, uson partial performance of said work, as set fort .h. in said
Specifications, Special. Provisions and Plans, the said bidder 10 willing to El. coopt
sayment of a sum equal to eighty-five per cent (8) %) of Inc - value of Inc work de-
termined by the City Engineer to have been performed; and
WITETREAS„ t'ne City Manneqer has recommended to the Council that the contract
for Inc ' installation of Inc storm water sumoing plant at Inc foot of Grand Street
be awardect to Inc said bidder, 10 accordance with said Proposal;

pany, in accordance yrith said proposal.

upon partial performance of said contract, payment shall "de made to said. Central
California Construction Company of a sum equal to eighty-five per cent (85) of the
value of the work determined by the City Eingineer to have been 'performed when the
slant is in operation with, the hand. operated valve.
