RESOLUTION NO. 3317
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS AND PROVISIONS FOR REPAIR OF
PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, CURE AND GUTTER

WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the repair and/or con-
struction. of Portland Cement Concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter in certain streets
of the City of Alameda; and
1rd1RE1S, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications and Provisions
for repair of Portland Cement Concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter for the fiscal
year ending Tune 30, 1947, which Specifications and Provisions are numbered PW
5-46-5 and were filed with the City Clerk of said City on May 21, 1946;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE rr RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY 0)1 ALAMEDA
that the aforesaid Specifications and Provisions, numbered and filed as aforesaid,
be, and the same are hereby, unproved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the „performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour cf 8:05 o'clock, P. Y., on Tuesday, Tune 4, 1946, for
the furnishing to the City of all labor, material and equipment necessary for re-
pairing and/or constructing Portland Cement Concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter in
the streets of the City of Alameda for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1947, in
accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to
the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and
plainly marked on the outside "Proposal for Sidewalk," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of the
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best
bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hell, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-
star, a notice canir e. for sealed bids in. accordance with the provisions of this
Resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council ,of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of May, 1946, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Howe, lanes, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branscheid, (5).
NOES: None.
