ACCEPTING OPTION OF IIJRCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FROM S. C. GRANTHAM 1020 $HIRLEY A. GRANTHAM, HIS 'WIFE,
0210 CONSENTING TO 102 RECORDATION THEREOF.
nEREAS, a certain option of purchase of real property dated the 30th
day of April, 1946, made by and between J. C. Grantham and Shirley A. Grantham,
his wife, as tarties of the first part, and the City of Alameda, a municipal cor-
poration, as party of the second part, WEIS, on or about said date, executed and
delivered by said J. C. Grantham and Shirley A. Grartnam, his wife, to be City
of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, by said option said J. C. Grantham and Shirley A. Grantham,
his wife, granted to the City of Alameda an option to purchase all of that cer-
tain real property situate, lying and being in the said City of Alameda, and more
particularly described as follows, to wit:
COMMENCING at the intersection of the Westerly line of
Fifth Street and the Southerly line of Pacific Avenue as said
Street and Avenue now exist and running thence North 88* 35,
West along said line of Pacific Avenue 692.60 feet for the
true point of beginning of the Parcel herein described;
thence South 1* 25' West 74.56 feet to a. point in a curve;
thence Southeasterly along said curve to the right, having
a radius of 917.11 feet, and the radial of said curve at last
mentioned point bears South. 17* 121 45" West, an are distance
of 125.01 feet to the end of said. curve; thence South 64*
581 39,, East 73.38 feet more or less to a point 170 feet
Northerly at right angles from the Northerly line of Lincoln
Avenue as said Avenue now exists; thence South 88* 241 15.
Nast parallel to said line of Lincoln Avenue 144.85 feet to
o point in a curve; thence Northwesterly along said curve to
the left having a ranius of 2311.88 feet. The long chord of
said curve bears North 69* 50' West, an. arc distance of 302.01
feet; thence leaving said curve and running North 1* 25t East
51.73 feet to a point in the Southerly line of Pacific Avenue;
thence North 88* 551 West along said line of Pacific Avenue
52.60 feet to the point of beginning,
on condition that said. option be exercised by the said City of Alameda on or before
May 1, 1947; and
WIMREAS, the said City of Alameda did, or or about said date, accaot
said option;
NOW', THEREFORE, B IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL 07 THE CITY 01 ALAMEDA
that the aforementioned Option be, and the same is hereby, accepted on behalf of
the City of Alameda, and said City Council, acting for and on behalf of said
city, hereby consents to the recordation of said Option and orders this Resolu-
tion to be attached thereto, as required by Section 1158 of the Civil Code of the
State of California.

I, the undersigned, hereby' certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adoptad by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of June, 1946, by the following vote,
to wit;
A.YES: Councilmen Howe, Jones, ostorn, Sweeney and President
Brenscheid, (5).
NOES: None.
