CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, J. C.. Grantham and Shirley A. Grantham, his wife, are about to
acquire certain land in tne city of Ale:meda, County of Alameda, State of California,
from the Central. Pacific Railway Company, a corporation, and/or the Southern Pacific
Company, a corporation, described as follows:
PARCEL NO. 1
REAL PROPERTY in the City, of Alameda, County of Alameda,
State 01 California, described as follows:
CONVENCING at the intersection of the Westerly line of
Fifth Street and the Southerly line of Pacific Avenue as said
Street and Avenue now exist, and running thence North 88* 35,
West along said line of Pacific Avenue 692.60 feet for the true
point of beginning cf the Parcel herein described; thence South
1* 251 West 74.56 feet to a point in a curve; thence southeas-
terly along said curve to tie right, having a radius of 917.11
feet, and the radial of said curve at last mentioned point bears
South 17* 121 45" West, an arc distance of 125.01 feet to the
end of said curve-; thence South 64* 58? 39" East 78.38 feet more
or leso . to a point 170 feet Northerly at right angles from the
Northerly line of Lincoln Avenue es said Avenue nam exista;
thence South 88* 241 15" East parallel to said. lane of Lincoln
Avenue 144.85 feet to a point in a curve; thence Northwesterly'
along said curve to the left having a radius of 2311.88 feet.
Inc long chord of said curve bears North 69* 501 West, an arc
distance of 302.01 feet; thence leaving said curve and running
North 14 251 East 51.73 feet to a point in the Southerly line
of Pacific Avanue; thence North 88* 35? Nest along said line of
Pacific Avenue 52.60 feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL NO. 2
REAL PROPERTY in the City of Alameda, County of Alameth,
State of California, described as follom:
COISTENCING- at the intersection of the westerly line of
Fifth Street and the Southerly line of Pacific Avenue as said
Street and Avenue now exist, and running thence along said line
of Pacific Avenue North 88* 35, West 692.60 feet; thence South
1* 251 West 74.56 feet for the true point of beginning of the
parcel herein described.; thence Southeasterly oh a curve to the
right, having a radius of 917.11 feet and the radial line of
said curve at bat mentioned point bears South 17* 211 45" West,
an arc distance of 125.01 feet to the end of said curve; thence
South 64* 581 39" East 78.38 feet more or less, to a point 170
feet Northerly at right uncles from the Northerly line of Lin-
coln Avenue as said Avenue now exists; thence North 88* 241 15"
West parallel to said line of Lincoln Avenue 190.85 feet; thence
North 1* 251 East 72.98 feet to the point of beginning;
and
WHEREAS, said 4. C. Grantham and Shirley A. Grantham, hiz wife, have
granted an option of purchase to the City of Alameda covering Parcel No. 1,
above described; and
WIEPEAS, the title to both of said parcela cf land is clouded, and it
ia necessary to clear the title to each. of said parcels by and through appropriate
legal proceedings brought therefor; and
WEEREAS, said 4. C. Grantham and Shirley A. Grantham, his wife, are de-
sirous of having the title to Parcel No. 2 cleared at the same time that rroceed-
-Ingo are commenced to clear Inc title to Parcel No. 1; and
WHEREAS, an Agreement has been presented to the City of Alameda in con-
nection with the premises; and
WHEREAS, it 15 deemed advisable and. in the publio interest that said
Agreement be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNClh OF 0100 CITY OF ALAMEDA
That the said Agreement, a true and correct copy of which, including the terms
nd. conditions thereof, has been filed with tne City Clerk, as aforesaid, be, and
the sane is hereby, accepted without reservation or qualification-
RESOLVED, EihR=R, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute, and. the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest and cer-
tify, the aforesaid Agreement, and the City Attorney be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to commeace appropriate proceedings in order to remove
the clouds from each of said parcels of land above described.

in regulor meetinz assembled on the 5th. day of Tune, 194E, by the followihz
