RESOLUTION NC. 5004
RECCHMENDING TO THE PUBLIC HOUSING ADMINISTRATION
MANNER OF DISPOSITION OF T'ACIFIO TP-311G
CAL-4117
WHEREAS, the Public Housing Administratien is preparing to dispose of
Pacific Housing Project Ca1-le117, consisting of 96 temporary family units and
related properties; and
WHEREAS, these dwelling units are not suitable for long term use since
they do not meet building code requirements and promise to deteriorate into slum
dwellings; and
WHEREAS, the relocation of these substandard units would oppose rehabili-
tation and redevelopment efforts presently being made by civic officials, buildersT
and civic-minded citizens; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the Lanham Act, temporary war housing units
were to be demolished when their usefulness was ended;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA that,
in the disposition of Pacific Housing Project Cal-4117, the dwelling units be reduced
to component parts not greater than flat panels, removed from the site, and the
property restored to its original state at the earliest possible date.

meeting assembled on the 3rd day of November, 1954, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Jones, McCall, Moresi and Vice-Mayor Anderson, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: President Sweeney, (1).
