CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE
CITY FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES. • EE.
WHEREAS, the following described real property situated in the City-of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to-wit;
20I 11 in the east 4 of Block "D", as said lot and block ore
shown on the "Map of Lands Adjacent to the Town of Encinal,
Alameda County-, Cal. surveyed by jai. T. Stratton May ist, 1.867,
filed May 12, 1867 in Book 19 o 'ap9, Page 53, In the office
of the County Recorder of Alameda County; (Tax Bill No. 46)43,
1954-195--AB 163, Plate 8),
has been assessed heretofore for city purposes for the fiscal year 1954-1955 and
taxes levied thereon in the sum of (9 4.39, of which sun 16.)36 has been paid, and
the balance, 1;27.11, remains uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said taxes 7oecame a lien on said real property,
to-wit, on November 18, 1954, said real property was, by Deed recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of Alameda County. on November 12, 195)4, in Book 7433 of Offi-
cial Records, at ga-p 197, acquired, and ever since has been, and now is, owned by
the City of Alameda, and has been and now is being used for public purposes, and
because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinnuent tz'Aes;
NEN THEREPORE, BE IT RESOLVHD BY TEE COUUCIL 9 THE CITY OF AD:REDA, with
the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes
charged or levied for city purposes upon the afpresald real property, together with
penalties and costs thereon, be, and. the same are hereby,. careelled, and the Auditor
and Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and directed to cancel
the sanp on their respective books,
BE IT 'I1T HER RESOLVED, anything in this resolution 2 the contrary not-
withstanding, that this resolution and order shall not be construed as cancelling,
or authorizing the cancellation of, any special assessment taxes levied against said
real property by the City of Alameda. pursuant to the provisions of the "Acquisition.
Fund. Improvement Act of 1925".

dp hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected. ta:ses and assess-
ments or penalties and. costs thereon, charEed or levied for city purposes upon the
real property described in the within resolution.
