RESOLUTION NO. 5728
ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF' MOUND STREET,
IN Ti E CITY OF ALAMED
WHEREAS, the Council of tho City of Alameda dld, on the 19th day of Novom-
bnr, 1957, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 5717, declaring its intention to
order the vacation, closing and abandonment of that certain portion of Mound Strent,
in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, more particularly
described. in said Resolution of Intention as follows:
COMTENCLIM, at the point of intersection of tbe center lines of
Mound Street, 60 feet En width, and Waterton. Street, FO feet
in width, as said lines and streets now exist and are shown
on. Drawing 46,23, C2S8 54, City Engineer's files, City of
Alameda, State of California; the aforesaid point has the
coordinates of y 460,911.01 fmet and x 1,496,748.76
. feet 'base0 . on the California Coordinate Systenm Zone III,
as are all bnarings and distances in this description;
THENCE along the said center line of Mound Street Sou,
Or West 30.00 feet to the point of intersection with the
southwesterly line of Wmterten Street; said point is 11(3
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE along the idst said line South 47* 41, 56" East 30,00
feet to the intersection 'with the southeasterly Ltne of
Mound Street;
THENCE slang the last said line South 4.2* 2-' o7" west 24,72 feet
to its intersection with, the bine of Ordinary High Tide of
1871, between Stations 24.8 and 24.9 as sai3 . line is also shown
on the aforesaid drawing;
THENCE along the fast said line North 80* 59, 1.6" West 71,8a feet
to its intersection with the northwesterly line of mound Street;
THENCE along the last said line Nbrth 42* 20' 07' East 64.11 feet
to its intersection with the aforesaid. southwesterly lirn of
WAterton Street;
THENCE along the last said line South 47* 19' 53" East 10.0C feet
to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; and
WHEREAS, the portion of said Mound Street•to be vacated and abandoned and
the details of said 1353 1)3 are mere particularly shown upon that certain map known
as Drawing 4621, Case 54, City of Alameda Engineering Departmnnt, entitled, "Abandon-
ment of Mound Street South of Waterton Street", 01 51 map was by said Resolution of
Intention approved for the purpose of this proceeding and was ordered filed. in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of Alameda and marked. "FTled Nov. 19, 1957",
and whiten map was in said resolution referred to for further particulmrs as to the
proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Alameda caused said. Resolution of
Intentio1 . to be published in the manner prescribed lzy law for the publishing of
ordinances of the City of Alameda, in the Alameda Timps-Star, 9 1 1 lly newspaper of
general circulation published and circulated in said city and. the offinial nbws-
paper thereof; and
WHEREAS, proof of said publication is evidenced by an. affidavit of publi-
cation now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said. city; and
WHEREAS, proof of said posting of such notices is evidenced by the affi-
davit of the person posting said natines, which affidavit sets forth.. the facts
regarding such posting and is now (0 31 in the office of the City Cinrh of said
City; and
WEE:RYAS, the mhtter of said proposed. vacation camh on regularly for hear-
ing before the '030011 of the City of Alameda at this, its regular meeting, on the
17th day of Decemtnr, 1957, and at tho (1413 and place fixnd in said Resolution of
Intention, and. at such hearing the said Council heard the evidence offered. by all
persons interested. in said street vacation, and a full hearing thereon having been
had a, d. the matter submitted for determination;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
said Council hereby finds and determines, from all the evidence submitted, that the
street and part thereof in said Resolution of Intention and 3031 100010(0 more parti-
cularly described, is urnhcessary for present and prospective publdc street purposes
and that public interest requires the vacatipn of said portion. of said street.
0' IT PURTHER RESOLVED that the portion of Mound Street in said Resolution
of Intention and hereinbefore more particularly described be, and the same is hereby,
vacated and abandoned.

lar meeting assembled o tne 17th day. of December, 190, by the following vote,
