RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF
MORTON STREET, NORTHERLY CF PACIFIC AVENUE, IN THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the public interest
requires, and said Council hereby declares its intention to order the vacation, clos-
ing and abandonment of that portion of Morton Street, northerly of Pacific Avenue,
in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, described as follows:
ALL that portion of Morton Street north of Pacific Avenue,
as shown on Drawing 4766, Case.54, a copy of which is on file in
the City Clerk's Office, Alameda, California.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the portion of Morton Street to be vacated and
abandoned and the details of said vacation are more particularly shown upon that cer-
tain map known as Drawing 4766, Case 54, City of Alameda Engineering Department,
entitled, "Morton Street to be Abandoned North of Pacific Avenue", which map is
hereby approved for the purpose of this proceeding and is hereby ordered filed in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of Alameda, and which map is hereby referred to
for particulars as to the proposed vacation.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the 16th day of December, 1958, et 7:30 o'clock p.m.
of said day, in the COUNCIL CHAMBERS in the CITY HALL, at the northwest corner of
Santa Clara Avenue and Oak Street, Alameda, California, be, and the same is hereby,
fixed as the time and place for hearing by the Council of said City of all persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby
directed to cause this resolution to be published, in the manner prescribed by law
for the publishing of ordinances of the City of Alameda, in the Alameda Times-Star,
a daily newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in said City and
the official newspaper thereof.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby
directed to post, or caused to be posted, conspicuously along the line of the street
and part of street proposed to be vacated, notices of such vacation, in the form and
manner required by the legislative act hereinafter mentioned.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that in the herein proposed vacation of said street or
portion of street aforementioned, the Council of the City of Alameda hereby elects
to proceed under and in pursuance of the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of
1941 of the State of California (Chapter 250, Statutes of 1941), as amended.

and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council. of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the leth day of November, 1958, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Collischonn, Freeman, Petersen, Schacht and. President
McCall, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
