ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL pRovIsIoNn AND PLANS
FOR INSTALLATION OF STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEMS TO SERVE
LINCOLN AVENUE IN THE VICINITY OF CHAPIN STREET AND
GRAND STREET, CALLINE FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY
CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for the installation of storm drainage systems to serve "Lincoln Avenue in
the Vicinity of Chapin Street end Grand Street, numbered PW 9-59-16 and filed in
the office of the City Clerk on October 7, 1959;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work spool-
fled in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 11:00 o'clock- a.m. on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1959 for
furnishing to the City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment neces-
sary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications
and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda,
California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for
Installation of Storm Drainage Systems to Serve Lincoln Avenue in the Vicinity of
Chapin Street and Grand Street", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to tle provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest end
best bid, The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said. Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star,
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this restlu-
titn and of said Specifications and Provisions.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
adjourned regular meeting assembled. on the 7th day of October, 1959, by the follow-
ing vote, to wit:

President McCall, (5).
