RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA APPROVING AND
ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1961-1962; APPROPRIATING
CERTAIN MONEYS FOR THE EXPENDITURES PROVIDED IN SAID BUDGET FOR
SAID FISCAL YEAR AND RATIFYING CERTAIN EXPENDITURES HERETOFORE
MADE.
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to and filed with this Council, at this meeting, a budget;
representing a financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1961 and ending June 30, 1962, which budget is marked 'Filed with the City Clerk
in omen meeting of the City Council, September 12, 1961";
NOW THEREFORE, 3E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said budget as
submitted to this Council at this meeting, and each and every part thereof, he, and the same is
hereby, approved and adopted as the budget for the City of Alameda for the fiscal year 1961-1962,
and that the expenditures of the various sums of money therein provided to he spent for salaries
and wages, maintenance and operation, and capital outlay, by each department as therein listed in
detail are hereby approved and authorized in total, by the above object classification, as the
e.opropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1962.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be, and are hereby, appropriated for the fiscal year
1961-1962, the specified sums for the purpose of meeting the cost of salaries and wages paid officers
and employees, the cost of maintenance, operation, and for equipment and other capital outlay of
the respective departments, divisions, offices and boards of the City, and for all other purposes
designated in said budget for the respective purposes of the said departments, divisions, offices
and boards of the City, and for such special funds and other purposes designated in said budget; and
HE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the appropriations herein provided for are made nut of
the General. Fund for the fiscal year 1961-1962, except those made to or for purposes for which
special funds are established, and as to such 1st mentioned purposes said appropriations are made
out of the special funds respectively established. therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such expenditures as may have been made by the several depart-
ments, divisions, offices and boards of the City after the beginning of the fiscal year 1961-1962
and prior to the adoption of this resolution, and have been or may be duly approved by the City
Auditor, are hereby ratified, confirmed and anproved, and shall be respectively charged against the
appropriations herein and in said budget provided for.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned regular meeting assembled
on the 12th day of September, 1961, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dungan, Godfrey, McCall, Schacht and President Collischonn, (5),
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None.
