-portion of Cowell Street, between Oak Street and Park Street, in the City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, State of California, described as follows:

BEGINNINO at a point on the easterly line. of Oak Street distant 713 1.17. thereon 925 feet
from the southerly line of Clinton Avenue, said point being the northerly corner of
the parcel of land 1. '7. in the deed. frou Powell Brothers Construction Company to
the City of Alameda recorded February 21, 1919 at page 4.9, Book 2743 of Deeds, Alameda
County Reeorder'e offilea;
THENCE along the northeasterly line of said parcel South 39° 59 44" East 76.17 feev. to the
easterly line of the parcel. of land described in the Quitclaim. Deed from Robert W.

is hereby approved fer the purpose of this proceeding and is hereby ordered filed in the office of
the. City Clerk of the Ciity of Alameda and is hereby referred to Eor particulars as to the proposed
vacation.
RESCIVED, FURTHER, that the 5th day of December, 1961, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. of said day,
in the GCUNGIL ClIAMBEI2 in the CITY NALTT at the northwest corner of Sante Clara Avenue and Oak
Stxeet, Alameda, CalH:ornia, be, and the. same is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing By
the Council of said City of all persons 01 '11 in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk of the City of. Alameda is hereby directed to exuse
this resolution. to be published in the manner prescribed by law for the publishing of ordinances of
the City of Alameda, in the Alameda Times-Star. a daily newspaper of general circulation. published
and circulaTed in said City, and the official newspaper thereof« •
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that. the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby directed. to post,
or cause to be. posted, consOcuously along the line of the street and parts of street proposed to be
vacated, notices of such vacation, :n the form and manner required. hy the legislative act hereinafter
mentioned.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that, in. the herein proposed vacation of said street or portion of street
aforementioned, the Council of the. City of Alameda hereby elects to proceed. under and in pursuance
of the provisions of the Street Vacation. Act of 1941 of the State of California (Chapter' 250,
Statutes of. 1940, as amended.
