ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
PAINTING OF FIRE STATIONS NOS. 1, 2, 3 AND 5 AND THE BAY
FARM ISLAND RECREATION CENTER, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECT-
ING CITY CLER K TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the painting of Fire Stations Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 5 and the Bay Farm island Recreation Center,
numbered PW 3-64-7 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on March 17, 1964;
NOW THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same
are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said
Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up
to the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on THURSDAY, APRIL 2, 1964, for furnishing cc the City of all
labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to,
in accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk,
in the City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked nn the outside,
"Proposal for Painting of Fire Stations Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 5 and the Bay Farm Island Recreation
Center", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will he awarded subject Co the provisions of the Charter of the
City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and hest bid. The right is
reserved to reject any or all bids.
Sid Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder en application
to the City Engineer, at his office in the Cir.)/ Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifica-
tions and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
17th day of March, 1964, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Freeman, La Croix, Jr., Rose and Vice President McCall, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: President Godfrey, (1).
