Resolution 06609CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 6609 DETERMINING NECESSITY FOR ACQUISITION OF CITY STREET LESS THAN FORTY FEET IN WIDTH. WHEREAS, a freeway Agreement entered into February 20, 1959, between the City and the State of California provides for relinquishment by State to City of a certain proposed street area adjacent to the Posey Tube; and WHEREAS, said street is less than forty (40) feet in width and the acquisition thereof will be to the best interests of the City of Alameda, within the meaning of Section 1805, Streets and Highways Code of California; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that it is hereby found and determined that the public convenience and necessity demand the acquisition and maintenance of said street, and the minimum requirement of forty (40) feet width is hereby waived with respect thereto. * * * * * * * * * * I,the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced anal adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of May, 1964, by the following vote, cn wit: AYES: Councilmen Freeman, La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5).
