PERMITTLNG SIDEWALK ENCROACHMENT FOR JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
ART AND HOBBY EXHIBIT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that pursuant to Section 5-264.1, Alameda
Municipal Code, the Junior Chamber of Commerce is hereby granted permission to encroach upon the public
sidewalk In front of premises numbered 1340 Park Street, Alameda, California, for the purpose of con-
ducting or staging an Art and Hobby Exhibit, subject to all of the following conditions:
(1) The dates and hours thereof shall be June 6, 1964, between the hours of 10:00 a.m.
and 8:00 p.m., and June 7, 1964, between the hours of 12 o'clock noon and 6:00 p.m.
(2) All encroachment shall be confined to that portion of said sidewalk within three and
one-half feet (31/2') from the private property line.
(3) There shall be maintained at all times no less rhan five. feet (5') for unobstructed
pedestrian travel between said encroachment and the outer boundary of said sidewalk.
(4) The City shall be named an additional insured under a policy of public liability
insurance in the amounts of $25,000/$50,000, protecting and holding it free and harmless from any and
all claims of whatever nature arising out of or by virtue of the permission herein granted,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is hereby found by this Council that said encroachment will
not interfere substantially with the public health, safety or welfare.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda In regular meeting assembled on the
l9th day of May, 1964, by the following vote, eo wit:
