RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL CALLING AND PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING
OF AN ELECTION WITHIN BAY FARM ISLAND RECLAMATION DISTRICT NO.
2105 FOR THE 'PURPOSE OF ELECTING THE RST BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
WHEREAS, Shore Line Properties, Inc., a landowner owning land situate within the boundaries
of Bay Farm Island Reclamation District No. 2105 , which District is situate entirely within
the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, has presented to this Council its appli-
cation for a resolution and order of this City Council calling an election in said Reclamation Dis-
trict for the election of five eligible persons to act as the first Board of Trustees of said
District; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said Reclamation District was duly formed by this City Council on
November 17, 1964, that the By-Laws for the government of the affairs of the District have been duly
adopted by the landowners of a majority of the acreage in the District and filed by them for record
with the County Recorder of Alameda County and recorded as required by law, that Petitioner is the
owner of record of more than a majority of all of the lands situate within said Reclamation District,
and that said Petitioner has petitioned that an election be called by this City Council for the
election of the first Board of Trustees of said District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the City Council of the City of Alameda as
follows:
Section 1. An election is hereby called and shall be held in Bay Farm Island Reclamation
District No. 2105 for the purpose of electing five eligible persons to act as Trustees of said
Reclamation District.
Section 2. The election shall be held and conducted at the time and place and by the
officers hereby appointed to conduct the same as more particularly set forth in the form of Notice
of Election hereinafter set forth.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause Notice of Election
to be published in the Alameda Times-Star, a newspaper published in the City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, California, in which all of the lands in the Reclamation District are located, for not less
than one month, to wit, once a week for four successive weeks, the first publication to be at least
30 days prior to said election.
Section 4. Said Notice of Election shall be substantially in the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to an order of the City Council of the City of Alameda,
County of Alameda, State of California, duly given and made on the 17th day of November, 1964, an
election for five Trustees for Bay Farm Island Reclamation District No. 2105 situate in the City
of Alameda; County of Alameda, State of California, will be held at The Caterina Perata House
Mecartney Road, Bay Farm Island , in said Bay Farm Island Reclamation District No.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 1965
and that the following landowners of said District have been appointed to act as and shall constitute
the Board of Election for said election, to wit:

Section 5. The City Clerk is further directed to publish Notice of the time for filing
nominating petitions once in the Alameda Times-Star, such publication to be made at least sixty-one
days prior to the date fixed for said election. Such Notice may be substantially in the following
form:

PETITIONS FOR TRUSTEES OF BAY FARM
ISLAND RECLAMATION DISTRICT NO. 2105
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that nominations for the office of Trustees of
Bay Farm Island Reclamation District No. 2105
to be elected at the election called and to be held in said District on Tuesday, February 16, 1965,
will be received by the undersigned City Clerk and must be made by petitions of five or more quali-
fied electors filed with the undersigned City Clerk not later than 12 o'clock noon on the 54th day
before said election.

Section 6. The Election Board appointed in the foregoing Notice of Election shall canvass
the votes cast, issue Certificates of Election to the persons elected, and make due return of the
ballots and election proceedings to the City Clerk of the City of Alameda.
Section 7. The City Clerk shall provide ballots and all other election supplies required
for the conduct of said election. The cost of publication of such Notices, and all costs incurred
in the conduct and holding of such election, shall be charged to Bay Farm Island Reclamation District
No, 2105.
Section 8. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

NOT VOTING: Councilmen Freeman and La Croix, jr., (2).

APPOINTING CITY OF ALAMEDA REPRESENTATIVE ON BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE ALAMEDA COUNTY MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that MARK J. HANNA be, and he is her
appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement Distr
to represent the City of Alameda, for a two-year term beginning January 2, 1965.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Board of
Trustees of the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District.
