CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 6721
SUPPORTING POLICY ADOPTED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF BAY AREA
GOVERNMENTS REGARDING PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF THE SAN
LUIS INTERCEPTOR DRAIN
WHEREAS, the Association of Bay Area Governments has expressed its concern over the pro-
posed discharge of agricultural and other waste waters from the San Joaquin and Central Valleys
into San Francisco Bay which will result from the construction of the San Luis Interceptor Drain by
the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation and the State Department of Water Resources; and
WHEREAS, said Association has adopted a Resolution expressing its concern over, and its
opposition to, said proposed construction at this time; and
WHEREAS, this Council concurs fully with said Resolution;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that this Council
hereby supports the policy adopted by the Association of Bay Area Governments regarding the proposed
construction at this time of the San Luis interceptor Drain.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to send a copy of this
Resolution to the President of the Executive Committee of the Association of Bay Area Governments.

1st day of December, 1964, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Freeman, Le Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
