ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
RECONSTRUCTION OF LINCOLN AVENUE BETWEEN COURT STREET AND
HIGH STREET FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE SA1,I.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Spccificatons, Special Provisions and Plans for
the reconstruction of Lincoln Avenue between Court Street and High Street, numbered PW 8-65-23 and
filed in the office of the City Clerk on August 17, 19651
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Flans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the sane are
hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bid a up to
the hour of 11z00 o'clock a.m. on FRIDAY, AUGUST 27, 1965, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. 3ids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the
City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for
Reconstruction of Lincoln Avenue from Court Street to High Street", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to
reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hail, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk Is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications
and Provisions.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled OR the
17th day of August, 1965, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Bartley, La Croix, Jr.. McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
