CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 6916
DECLARING INTENTION OF COUNCIL TO ORDER THE VACATION OF AN
UNIMPROVED PORTION OF MECARTNEY ROAD EAST OF CAMELLIA DRIVE,
AND REFERRING TO A CERTAIN MAP FOR PARTICULARS OF THE PROPOSED
VACATION 5 FOOT BY 144 FOOT STRIP).
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that it is the intention of the Council
of the City of Alameda to order the vacation of an unimproved portion of a public street, being a
strip five feet wide by one hundred forty-four feet long of Mecartney Road east of Camellia Drive,
situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, and more particularly
described as follows:
COMMENCING at the monument at the intersection of the monument lines of Mecartney Road
and Camellia Drive, as said monument, Road and Drive are shown upon that certain
map entitled "TRACT 1250, ALAMEDA, ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA," filed for record
March 29, 1955, in Book 35 of Maps, Page 78 in the office of the County Recorder,
Alameda County, California, said monument having coordinates Y°454,406.73 feet
and X°1,497,876.67 feet based on the California Coordinate System, Zone 3, as are
all bearings and distances in this description;
THENCE along said monument line of Camellia Drive, South 34°03'27" West 25.91 feet to
Boardman's Tide Land Line;
THENCE along said Boardman's Line South 72°56'02" East 45.71 feet to the True Point of
Beginning, said point being the point of intersection of said Boardman's Line with
a non-tangent circular curve, the tangent at said point of Intersection bearing
North 69°31'22" East;
THENCE easterly along said curve, concave to the south, having a radius of 20.00 feet,
through a central angle of 33°36'10', for en are length of 11.73 feet;
THENCE along a tangent to the last described curve, South 76.52'28" East 9.00 feet;
THENCE southeasterly along a tangent curve, concave to the southwest, having a radius
of 586.00 feet, through a central angle of 12°1150, for an arc length of 124.92
feet to said Boardman's Line,
THENCE along said Boardman's Line North 72.56'02" East 144.38 feet to the True Point of
Beginning.
(Containing 0.012 acres of land, more or less.)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that reference is hereby made for particulars of the proposed
vacation to that certain map entitled, "Abandonment of a Portion of Mecartney Road, East of Camellia
Drive,' on file in the office of the City Clerk and being City Engineer's Drawing No. 5800, Case 54.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Council hereby finds and determines that public conven-
ience and necessity do not require reservation in the City of Alameda pursuant to Sections 8330 and
8331, Streets and Highways Code of California, of any easements or rights of way in the said portion
of the street proposed to be vacated.
RE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that all proceedings for the vacation herein proposed shall be In
accordance with the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of
California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice is hereby given that the 15th day of March, 1966, at
730 p.m., is hereby fixed as the time, and the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Alameda, California,
as the place, for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the herein proposed vacation.
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notices of the
street vacation herein proposed to be posted conspicuously along the line of said street, at lease
ten (10) days before the date set for said hearing, Such notices shall he posted not more than 300
feet apart, but at least three (3) shall be posted, and such notices shall state the passage of
this resolution of intention and the time and place of the herelnabove mentioned hearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to have this resolution
published in the manner prescribed by Section 3-14 of the Charter of the City of Alaneda for the
publishing of ordinances.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
15th day of February. 1966, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Bartley, La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None,
