Resolution 06920CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 6920 DECLARING INTENTION TO ORDER VACATION OF PORTION OF TILDEN WAY, FORMERLY RAILROAD AVENUE (5-FOOT STRIP ADJOINING LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK C, ALAMEDA STATION HOMESTEAD TRACT). RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that it is the intention of the Council of the City of Alameda to order the vacation of en unused portion of a public street, being a five- foot wide strip of Tilden Way, formerly Railroad Avenue, adjoining the northerly boundary of Lots 2 and 3, Block C, as shown on the "Map of Alameda Station Homestead Tract," situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, and more particularly described as follows; PARCEL A: BEGINNING at the most easterly corner of Lot 2, Block C, as said lot and block are shown on the "Map of Alameda Station Homestead Tract," filed at page 60, Book 17 of Maps, Official Records of Alameda County. said corner having the coordinates of y 465,784.63 feet and x ' 1,497,538.80 feet based on the California Coordinate System, Zone III, as are all bearings and distances in this description; THENCE westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 2 on a curve to the right having a radius of 1960.08 feet, an arc distance of 58.77 feet, to the northwesterly corner of said Lot 2; THENCE along the direct extension of the northwesterly line of said Lot 2 North 34° 23' 18"'East 5.83 feet to its intersection with the southerly line of Tilden Way, 70 feet wide, as said Way is shown on Sheet 7, Drawing 3939, City Engineer's files, City of Alameda, California; THENCE easterly along said southerly line on a curve to the left having a radius of 1955.08 feet (a radial line of said curve to said intersection bearing South 3° 28' 07" West) an arc distance of 58.82 feet to the direct extension north- easterly of the southeasterly line of said Lot 2; THENCE along the last said line South 34° 23' 13" West 5.94 feet to the BEGINNING. PARCEL E: BEGINNING at the northwesterly corner of Lot 3, Block C, as said lot and block are shown on the "Map of Alameda Station Homestead Tract," filed at page 60, Book 17 of Maps, Official Records of Alameda County, said corner having the coordinates of y 465,784.63 feet and x 1,497,538.80 feet based on the California Coordinate System, Zone III, as are all bearings and distances in this description; THENCE along the direct extension of the northwesterly line of said Lot 3, North 34° 23' 18" East 5.94 feet to its intersection with the southerly line of Tilden Way, 70 feet wide, as said Way is shown on Sheet 7, Drawing 3939, City Engineer's files, City of Alameda, California; THENCE easterly along said southerly line on a curve to the left having a radius of 1955.08 feet (a radial line of said curve to said intersection bearing South 10 44 41" West) an arc distance of 16.07 feet to a point of compound curve; THENCE continuing along said southerly line on a curve to the left having a radius of 689.13 feet an are distance of 44.55 feet to its intersection with the direct extension northeasterly of the southeasterly line of said Lot 3; THENCE along said extension South 34° 23' 18" West 7.20 feet to the most easterly corner of said Lot 3; THENCE along the northerly line of said Lot 3 westerly on a curve to the right having a radius of 1960.08 feet an are distance of 59.91 feet to the BEGINNING. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that reference is hereby made For particulars of the proposed vacation to that certain map entitled, "Excess City Property to be Abandoned South of Tilden Way Between Park Street and Everett Street," on file in the office of the City Clerk and being City Engineer's Drawing No. 5830, Case 54. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Council hereby finds and determines that public convenience and necessity do not require reservation in the City of Alameda pursuant to Sections 8330 and 8331, Streets and Highways Code of California, of any easements or rights of way in the said portion of the street proposed to be vacated. BE FT FURTHER RESOLVED that ail proceedings for the vacation herein proposed shall be In accordance with the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of California. BE 51: FURTHER RESOLVED that notice is hereby given that the 5th day of April, 1966, at 7:30 p.m., is hereby fixed as the Lime, and the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Alameda, California, as the place, for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the herein proposed vaeation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notices of the street vacation herein proposed to he posted conspicuously along the line of said street, at least ten (10) days before the date set for said hearing. Such notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart, but at least three (3) shall be posted, and such notices shall state the passage of this resolution of intention and the time and place of the hereinabove mentioned hearing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to have this resolution published in the manner prescribed by Section 3-14 of the Charter of the City of Alameda for the publishing of ordinances. * * * * * * * * * * I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st day of March, 1966, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Bartley, La Croix, Jr., Rose and President Godfrey, (4).
