CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED HY THE ALAMEDA
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR PUBLIC PURTOSES.
WREREAS, the following described real property, situated ia the City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, State of California, ED Wit:
AB 192/25 - Mae G. Soderlund
LOT 17 and the eastern 10 feet of LOT 18, In Block 9, as said lots and blcok are shown
on the "Map of Lands Adjacent to the Town of Encinal, as surveyed by James T. Stratton,
filed May 26, 1867, In the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County; excepting
therefrom that portion thereof taken for the widening of Lincoln Avenue,
has been assessed heretofore for City purposes for the fiscal year 1965-1966 and taxes levied thereon
in the sum of $95.25 are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said taxes became a lien on said real property, it was, by Grant
Deed, recorded on October 15, 1965, Reel 1620, Image 534, ln the office of the County Recorder of
Alameda County, acquired, and ever since has been and now is owned by the Alameda Unified School Dis-
trict, and has been and now is being used for public purposes, and because of such public ownership
is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE C1TX OF ALAMEDA, with the written con-
sent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes charged or levied for city
purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with penalties and costs thereon, be, and the
same are hereby, cancelled, and the Auditor and the Tx Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby
authorized and directed to cancel the same on their respective books.

1, Frederick M. Cunningham, City Attorney of the City of Alameda, State of California, do
hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assessments, and penalties
and costs thereon, charged or levied for City purposes upon the parcel of real property described in
the within Resolution.
