ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
THE RECONSTRUCTION OF PAVEMENT FAILURES ON TILDEN WAY
BETWEEN BROADWAY AND TUE FRUUVALE BRIDGE, CALLING FOR
BIDS AND D1RECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the reconstruction of pavement failures on Tilden Way between Broadway and the Fruitvale Bridge,
numbered PW 7-66-21 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on September 20, 1966;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid Speci-
fications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work'specified in said Specifi-
cations and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 o,clock a.m. on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7, 1966, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Proviolons. Bids most be presented to the City Clerk, in the City
Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Recon-
struction of Pavement Failures on Tilden Way, No, PW 7-66-21", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to
reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling
for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and
Provisions.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
20th day of September, 1966, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Bartley, La Croix, Jr., Rose and President Godfrey, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman McCall, (1).
