OBjECTINC TO SALE Oh' CERTAIN TAX DEEDED PARCEL OE' REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County by its Rgsolution No. 12000q has givpn
its consent to the proposed sale at public auction o the hereinafter described parcel of real prop-
erty, deeded to tke State of California, for delinguent takes, and it ih deemed to be in the public
interest and necessity that the fee to said :parcel be acquired by the City of Alameda for publio
purposes, to wit, for use as a secure storage area of materials, supplies ang other public equipment
owned. by said municipality; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 8, Division 1, Fart 6 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of California
authorizes and provides prochedinws fur the acquisition of said tax deeded property' by the 1 of
Alameda, a taxing agenpy, and said City desired to avail itself of said proceedings;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL Oh' THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City of
Alameda, acting by' and through its City Council, governing body- thereof, does hereby object -Lc the
aforesaid proposed. sale at, public auction of the following designated parcel of rear property hereto-
fore deeded to the State of California for dellnquent taxes:
Ne. S. SEED MO. 212911. In the City of Alameda. Beginning at a point,
on the Southern line of Clement, formerly Atlantic Avenue, distant, 70 feet Westerly
from the point of intersection thereof with the Western 'the of Chestnut Street,
running thence Westerly along said line of Clement Avenue 38 feet; thence at right
angles Southerly 100 feet; thence at right angles Easterly 3S feet; thence at right
angles Northerly 100 feet to the point of beginning. Being portions of ibts 17 and 18
in Black 6o as said lets and block are shown on the "Mao of the property in vidindty
of Encinal Station, Toun of Alameda, owned by Colwahus Bartlett, Nog." filed April 17,
1875 in Book 17 of Maps, Page 44, in the Recorder's office of Alameda Co Acct.
No. 71-259-2. Deeded to the State July 1, 1965 for delinquent taxes for the year
1959. Minimum price $5,202.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be authorized and directed. to file with the
said Board of Supervisors and with the Tax Collector of said County certified copies of this resold-
tien, and of the resolution authorizing purchase of said property by said City, passed. concurrently.
