WHEREAS, the City Engiteer has prepared Specificatiens Spe(ial Provisions and Plans for
Clement Avenue widening, Chestnut Street to Oak Street, No. F. W. 4-67-9, and filed In the offire of
the City Clerk or April 18, 196Rd
HOW THEREFORE, Bt IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL Od' IRE ciaY a' ALAMEDA that the aforesaid.
Specifitatiers, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as Aforesaid, be, and the same are
hereby approved and adopted,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the performance and completion of the work specified in said
Specifications and Provisions be and the same is hereby authoriRed.
BE II' FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda, will receive coaled bids
up to the hour of 11:CC o'clock a.m. on FRIDAY, MAY 5, 1967, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
mateials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinanove referred to, in accord-
ance with said, Specifications and Provisibns. Bids must be presented to the City' Clerk, in 10 0133
Mall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and, plaihly marked on the outside, 'Proposal for
Clement Avenue Widening, Chestnut Street to Oak Street', or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisfens of the Charter of the
City of Alameda, to the responsitto bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right 18
reserved to reject apy or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at offibe in the City Hall, Alameda, Califor
he City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bits, in accordance with the provisiens of this resolution and of sadd Specifications
and Provisions.
