2 i1h PROFOUND GRIEF, the Council of the City of Alameda records the death of 1/1 of its
most faithful and well. lilked employees, CHARLES H. SCHWAB.
WHEREAS, lEr. Schwah had started hie employment with the City on October 23, 1946, as an
Appliance Maintenance and Utility Man with the Bureau of Elootririty; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schwab, by. conscionttans, dependable and efficibnt performanre of his duties
through the years, had. advanced to the post of General Foreman as of July 1, 1966, in which position
he wae working at the timb of his sudden death; and
WHEREAS, Mor. Schwab had ever been most cooperative and friehdly with his fellow employees
and had participated ill their actlidties - having at one time served as President of the Alameda
Munacipal Civil Sergiae Employees Association; and
WHEREAS, "Oharlie5 Schwab will he greatly missed by al1. of the City Employees and his
many friends who have indeed been saddened by the untimely. passing of this fine man.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that, in recognition
of his leyalty and constant efforts on behalf of the City - and in appreciation of his twenty-one
years of expellent service to the people of the comnumity, the City Council daes hereby express its
sense of personal loos, and ita gratitude for the influence of such a steady employee.
DE IT FUR= REGOLVED that this resolution be spread in full upon the minutes of this
meeting and a ropy thereof be sent to the family of Mr. Schwab in order to extend to its members a
sincere expression of sympathy. in their bereavement.
BF IT :BIRTHED, RESOIGIED that when this meeting of the Council of' the City of Alameda
adjourns, it shall do so in respect to the memory of CHARLES H. o( 2/
