WHEREAS, urder the provisions of Section 23 of the United States Housing it of 1937, as
amended, the Raldo Housing Administration iz authorized to provtde financial atsittance to local
Public Housing Agenoies in providing low-rent hohsing by leasing dwelling UldtS in exiSting privately-
owned structures; and
WHEREAS, saTE Section 23 provides that the provisdens thereof shal) not apply to any
locality unless the governing body of the locality has by resolutitn approved the application of
such provisions to such locality,
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOIEED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF Al AMEDA that the application
of the provisions of Section 23 of the United States Housing Act of 1.737, as at:ended, to the City of
Alameda. is approved.
