HE IR RESOINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OR ALAMEDA that Resolution No. 6232, adopted
June 20, 1961, which established rules relating to employment of certain City Officers and emplayees
covered in. the current effective Salary and Position Resolution, as amended by Resolution No. 2362,
adopted July 2, 1968, which added subsection (g) to Sectien 2 of said Resolution, No. 6232, is hereby
amended by amending said subsection (g) to read aa follows:
"g. Except as set fortn in subsection (h) hereinabove, holidays
in this City for miscellaneous employees are those days designated by Section.
6700 of the Government Code of California as corkitituting state holidays;
provided, however, that, October 12th, known as 'Columbus Day,' is excluded
therefran, and the day immediately following 'Thanksgiving Day' de added
thereto; and provining further, however, that no day designated as a holiday
by subsection (n) of said Section 6700 shall be a. holiday for any City employee
unless the City Council. declares by resolution or motion, said day to be a
holiday."
