AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR SERVICES OF A
CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1970-1971
WHEREAS, Section 3-7(c) of the Charter of the City of Alameda requires the designation of
a certified public accountant to investigate and audit accounts of the City, etc; and
WHEREAS, a proposed contract for the fiscal year 1970-1971 with George A. Hackleman,
Certified Public Accountant, has been submitted to the Council and the Council is fully informed and
aware of the terms and conditions thereof, said contract being filed with the City Clerk and marked
"Filed June 3, 1970,"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor of the
City of Alameda is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Alameda
that certain contract referred to above by and between the City and George A. Hackleman for certified
public accounting services for the fiscal year 1970-1971. The City Clerk is hereby directed to attest
to same.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
3rd day of June, 1970, by the following vote, to wit:

RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION AND COMMENDATION OF
DOROTHY IBAROLLE FOR HER CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, DOROTHY IBAROLLE has completed two terms as President of the Alameda Council of
the Parent-Teacher Association; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Ibarolle has held many responsible chairmanships and offices in the Lum School
and Alameda Council of the Parent-Teacher Association, having been a guiding force in the formation
of the Drug Abuse Committee, which instituted the presentation of the drug series for enlightenment
of the citizens of Alameda, and the school volunteer aid program which has evolved into a permanent
endeavor; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Ibarolle was instrumental in the sponsorship by the Alameda Council of the
P.T.A. of hearing and vision screenings, and has served as a member of the Citizens Committee for
studying school building sites; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Ibarolle has served as a member of the Alameda Girls Club Board of Directors,
as a working member of the Alameda Hospital Auxiliary, and in countless other worthwhile activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that each member of the City Council of the City of Alameda
does hereby express his personal appreciation to Mrs. Ibarolle and commends her most highly for her
outstanding contribution to the welfare of the community through her enthusiastic interest in various
social and service organizations, and her tireless efforts on behalf of the youth of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is extended to Mrs. Ibarolle and to her family sincere
wishes for continued good health and happiness in the future.
