CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7973
DECLARING COPIES OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1979 EDITION,
PLACED ON FILE WITH THE CITY CLERK TO BE PUBLIC RECORDS;
SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION
OF SAID CODE BY REFERENCE, AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE
OF SAID HEARING
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that Volume 1 of the Uniform Building
Code, 1970 Edition, by the International Conference of Building Officials, with changes, additions
and deletions therein indicated, as the Primary Code, and Volume I Appendix, Chapter 49, Volume I
Appendix, Chapter 57, and Volume IV, Dangerous Buildings, as the Secondary Code, three certified copies
of each of which were this day placed on file with the City Clerk, are hereby declared to be public
records and available for public inspection; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing on the adoption of said Code as the Alameda
Building Code by reference to said documents filed with the City Clerk as public records is hereby
scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall on Tuesday, the 18th day of January, 1972,
at the hour of 7:30 p.m.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notice of said hearing
to be published in the official newspaper for two successive weeks with at least five days intervening
between said respective publication dates. Such notice shall state the time and place of the hearing
and that copies of the Primary Code and the Secondary Code being considered for adoption are on file
with the City Clerk and are open to public inspection and shall further comply with the requirements
of Section 50022.3 of the Government Code of California.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
4th day of January, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
