CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8011
APPROVING PARCEL MAP NO. 970 AND PERMITTING RECORDING
THEREOF, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF IMPROVEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH SAID
PARCEL MAP AND APPROVING FAITHFUL PERFORMANCE BOND AS TO
SUFFICIENCY (DIVISION OF PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER
OF HOLLY STREET AND FIR AVENUE -- BRADDOCK & LOGAN)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11.319.1 of the Alameda Municipal Code, there has been
presented to this Council a Parcel Map, designated Parcel Map No. 970, and heretofore conditionally
approved by the Planning Board, being a division of the property at the southeast corner of Holly
Street and Fir Avenue, in the City of Alameda, by Braddock & Logan, a copartnership comprised of
Robert C. Braddock and R. H. Logan; and
WHEREAS, said approval by the Planning Board is conditioned upon the execution by
subdividers of an agreement to construct and complete certain public improvements on said property;
and
WHEREAS, said subdividers have entered into such an agreement and have posted their bond
guaranteeing full and faithful performance of said work, all in accordance with said section;
therewith;
WHEREAS, it will be to the benefit of the City to have said work performed in accordance
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that pursuant to
Section 11.319.1 of the Alameda Municipal Code, Parcel Map (Property Division Map) No. 970, here-
tofore accepted and approved by the Planning Board, is hereby approved and permission given to
subdividers to record same, subject to the conditions set forth in City Engineer's report to the
City Planning Board of the City of Alameda dated November 21, 1972.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the agreement for the construction and completion of the
improvements in the division of the property at the southeast corner of Holly Street and Fir Avenue,
designated as Parcel Map No. 970, by Braddock & Logan, be, and the same hereby is, approved, and
the City Manager is authorized and directed to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said agree-
ment on behalf of the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bond in the total sum of $1,256,000.00, guaranteeing
full and faithful performance of both this contract and the contract executed by said subdividers
in connection with Subdivision Tract No. 3422, the public improvements being bonded by this
contract being $32,927.52, and those bonded by the contract being executed in connection with said
Tract No. 3422 being $1,223,220.00, is hereby approved as sufficient in amount.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
19th day of December, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker and President La Croix, Jr., (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman McCall, (1).
