HEREAS, the City Engineer 1 prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the reconstruction of High Street frcm Thompson Avenue to the High Street Bridge, No. PM 4-74-1,
and filed in the office of the City Clerk on. April 2, 12:4
Nal VaREFUVii, BE IT RESCRETUD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OE '12 0, that the said Specifi-
cations, Special Provisions and Plans, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER HEOCISCED that the performance and completion of the work . specified in said
Specifications and Provisions be and the same is hereby authorized.
DE IT FURITEa RESULTED that tte Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids
up to the hour of 11:00 &clock a.m. on FRIDAY, APRIL 19, 1974, for furnishing to the City of
all labor, materials, machinery, tools and. equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred
o, in accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids nust be presented to the City
Clerk. in the City hall, Almieda, California, -alder sealed cover plainly marked on the out-
side, "Proposal' for the reconstruction of High Street from Thompson Avenue to the High Street
Bring ,h or similar designation.
Contract, if amarUed, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the
City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is
reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application
to the City Engineer, at his offite in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice
calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said
Specifications and Provisions.
I, the underoigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly as regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on.
the 2nd day of April, 1974, by the following vote, to Hit:
AYES: Councilmen Feckam, Oorisa, Horvitz, McCall and President La Croix, 3 r.,(5).
