AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANS-
PORTATION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF BICYCLE PATHWAY PROJECT
IN VICINITY OF BAY FARM ISLAND BRIDGE (34, 000.00
CITY MATCHING FUNDS)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF 12E CITY CF ALAMEDA that the City, acting by and through
its Director of Parks and Recreation make formal request to the state Department of Transpor-
tation for development of a bicycle pathway project in the vicinity of Bay Farm Island Fridge,
all as specifically set forth in plans and proposals therefor prepared ;by and on file in the
office of said Director, said project having an estimated total construction cost of approxi-
mately $8,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby states that City Finds, in an amount not to
exceed one -half said total estimated cost, are and will be available for cooperative financing
of said project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon preparation and state approval of the project report, said
Director of Parks and Recreation he authorized to negotiate and enter into, on behalf or the
City of Alameda, a Cooperative Agreement with the state for constructi or. of said bicycle
pathway project.

the 18th day of June, 1974, by the following vote, to wit:
